Area Says Goodbye To Last Surviving Founder Of London’s Farm Dairy

london-dAnyone living in or visiting the Port Huron area were familiar with London’s Farm Dairy – We all enjoyed the wonderful pig’s trough of ice cream  and the red and white milk cartons were in most area schools and resident’s refrigerators.  Many either worked at, or knew someone who was associated with London’s over the years.  The Blue Water area is saying goodbye to the last surviving founder of the dairy with the death of Glen London this week, at the age of 94.  The dairy was founded in 1936 by Glen, his brother Clyde and brother-in-law, Duward Blizzard and quickly became a significant part of the city’s economic landscape until about 1999.   London is survived by his three daughters, Judith Sutton, Diane Brown and Jacqueline McNaughton.  Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, April 17, at Ross Bible Church, with visitation at 10 a.m.
