The Big Reds Believe annual charity basketball game will be March 24 from 6:30 to 9 p.m. in the gymnasium at Port Huron High School. This annual fundraiser is organized by the school’s student council and features a game of students versus staff basketball. Proceeds support a Big Red family in need as chosen by the students. This year’s event will support the Wagner family, specifically Mrs. Lana Wagner, who is the wife of Port Huron High School Athletic Director Gregg Wagner and has been diagnosed with ovarian cancer. “Their family has been through a great deal since her diagnosis, so our student council thought that it would be a nice thing to have their family be the recipients of this year’s charity fundraiser,” said Sydney Collins, Port Huron High School’s student council president. Tickets and t-shirts can be purchased at Port Huron High School. Other fundraising at the event includes a 50/50 raffle and silent auction.
