Blue Water Middle College Academy Classes Beginning Next Week

middle collegeTextbooks for students of the Blue Water Middle College Academy are now available to students. Pete Spencer, middle college director, said, “I didn’t think that was possible, but Mrs. Lawson, our new administrative assistant, worked particularly hard over the last week to stack, sort, purchase, and organize the books for over 320 returning 12th and 13th grade students, not to mention preparing books for our 240 new 11th graders.  Classes begin Aug. 25.  RESA is the chartering agency for the Virtual Learning Academy and the Blue Water Middle College Academy. The Port Huron Area School District charters
the St. Clair County Intervention Academy.  The Blue Water Middle College Academy is available to a number of students in St. Clair County, allowing students to attend college free of charge, while still attending high school.  Upon graduation (with one extra year of high school) – a two-year degree from St. Clair County Community College may be earned at no charge to the student.
