Those We Love Most

In this engaging novel, Lee Woodruff explores the results on a family of an unimaginable tragedy.  Can this family make it through and be whole?   What would happen to your family if your child were hit by a car driven by a teenage neighbor?  Can the driver be forgiven? Can the family move on?  Woodruff draws on her own personal experiences to put the heart in this story.  I love her non-fiction writing, and thoroughly enjoyed this first novel.  Enjoy!

Call The Midwife – Shadows Of The Workhouse

I didn’t realize this was part of a trilogy when I picked up this book.  The television series is fantastic and I knew I would enjoy this story about the workhouses in the 1950’s.  If you are a fan of the show, you will love this book that goes into deeper detail of some of your favorite episodes, with a severe painting of wartime, and those affected by poverty during that era in England.  Visit with Sister Monica Joan, Peggy and Frank and Jane along with Jenny Lee.   I will be reading the others in the series – Enjoy!

Listen In To An Interview With Claire Cook

Another great Claire Cook,  but, “Never Too Late – Your Roadmap To Reinvention (without getting lost along the way)” is not fiction.  It is a well-known fact that in Cook’s novels, the women are all about looking at, and then, changing parts of their lives.  In her latest, Claire shares everything she has learned along her own journey of reinvention as well as what she has learned from others. You will laugh, be encouraged and share in her stories of “real women” who have moved their lives forward.  Enjoy!    clairecook.com
