A Is For Alibi

A number of years ago when my daughter was in college across the state, I ran across Sue Grafton and her Kinsey Millhone series.  While I love reading the text, I especially loved the audio version of this series.  Grafton kept me entertained for hours in all the traveling.  First up is “A is for Alibi”  If you enjoy great characters, and an exciting mystery/crime novel, you will love meeting Kinsey and her friends.  One of the best parts is this alphabet series is now through “W” – enjoy.

Orphan Train

The Orphan Train was a new term to me when I picked up this great read by Christina Baker Kline.  You will be transported back to a time in history when many children were on their own, and a large number were moved across the country to find new families when their own family could no longer care for them.  You will meet an orphan train rider as well as a modern day orphan.  I believe you will shed a tear or two, but you will also cheer on the characters in this wonderful story.
