The Longest Ride

The Longest Ride I have to admit, I enjoy romance novels…but what I really find engaging is a great “love” story, and there is a difference.  Nicholas Sparks writes about love, and “The Longest Ride” definitely defines “love”.  The story revolves around an older couple, and their long-time love and a young couple just beginning…

The Longest Ride

I have to admit, I enjoy romance novels…but what I really find engaging is a great “love” story, and there is a difference.  Nicholas Sparks writes about love, and “The Longest Ride” definitely defines “love”.  The story revolves around an older couple, and their long-time love and a young couple just beginning their time together.  Sparks paints a picture of the two diverse relationships, that will leave you smiling through your tears, as you tag along for “The Longest  Ride”.

The Penderwicks

Every once in a while, I like to pick up a book that young people (my grandsons) are reading.  This gives me an idea of what children are finding entertaining.  The Penderwicks are a delightful family that has experienced great loss.  They have their own peculiar ways and have a deep love for each other.  Really enjoyed this fun “vacation-time” story and encourage adults to “expand your horizon” by reading a book written with our youth in mind.  This is the first in the series by Jeanne Birdsall, and I look forward to the discussions about the story with my grandsons.
