In “The Woman in the Window” readers meet 38-year-old Anna Fox, once a respected child psychologist, now a shut-in who hasn’t left her New York City townhouse for almost a year. She is separated from her husband and their young daughter. In the vein of Hitchcock’s “Rear Window” Anna spies on her neighbors, watches old black and white movies and self-medicates. A new family moves into a townhouse opposite her own, and Anna witnesses what appears to be a horrible incident in their living room. Because of her situation, she is not able to convince police, or anyone else to believe her. Add to that her drinking too much and taking strong prescription medication, Anna wonders if she has lost her mind, or is someone trying to make her believe she has. This is a great thriller with twists and turns. Enjoy!
