Local artists are encouraged to apply for acceptance to St. Clair County Community College’s 12th annual Potters Market in November on the college’s Port Huron campus. Deadline to apply is Wednesday, Oct. 15. The market features hand and pottery wheel pieces created by students, faculty and guest potters. Proceeds from ceramic sales will benefit the artists and the college, with 15% of net proceeds going to support the arts at SC4. The Potters Market will be from 3 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 13, and noon to 4 p.m. Friday, Nov. 14;Saturday, Nov. 15; and Sunday, Nov. 16, in SC4’s Citizens First Michigan Technical Education Center. SC4’s Humanities-Arts Division sponsors the event, which encourages students to understand the process of producing work and then developing an outlet for that work. Potters are encouraged to apply by email. Please submit five photos of your work to firstname.lastname@example.org, along with the estimated number of pieces available for the sale, name and contact information.
