Marty Doorn
Marty is the Founder and President of WGRT 102.3 FM, also known as Port Huron Family Radio. He started the station in 1991 even though many people thought he was crazy. Marty shares life with his wife, Sue, and loves spending time with his children and grandchildren. Vickie Lemonis is a dedicated professional whose commitment to service and love of people drives her success as WGRT’s Advertising Manager. Managing customer accounts with warmth and a hard-working attitude, she helps businesses thrive. Born and raised in NYC, Vickie has called Marysville home for the last 26 years and is a proud mother of three. She has earned numerous accolades, including the prestigious Alignable’s Local Business Person of the Year for Port Huron in both 2023 and 2024.
Since joining WGRT in 2020, Vickie’s dedication to community service, business growth, and making connections has set her apart. Her networking efforts help people advance and thrive, securing WGRT the title of local best in Advertising/Marketing. Her leadership has made a significant impact on the Blue Water Area business and non-profit communities, fostering prosperity and resilience.

Martha VanCamp
Martha is the hardest working Business Manager you’ll ever meet. She has had many roles at the station since she joined the team in 1997, and she is the backbone of the office, taking care of the many duties no one else realizes need to get done everyday. George James VanCamp
George is the Production Manager at the station and you can also hear his voice on the radio regularly if you’re an attentive listener. George makes sure our customers have great sounding commercials and our podcasters have polished episodes of their show to share with the community.

JP bZet was born in Cleveland, Ohio and raised in Spokane, Washington where he graduated from Mead High School and RB School of Broadcasting. Since 1980, his communications career at numerous radio stations in the northwest spanned 35+ years; as an On-air Personality, Program Director, Production Director, Copywriter, Operations Manager and Sales Associate. Thalia Lansky
Thalia has a passion for media and marketing. After graduating in 2022, she joined WGRT as the Social Media Director, and also serves as the Assistant Account Executive. Using her skills in writing, digital communication, and content creation, she boosts the station’s online presence, interacting with listeners and building a community on different social media platforms.

Andrew KercherAndrew Kercher is a local freelance historian, lecturer and tour guide with degrees from Albion College in History and Philosophy and EMU in Historic Preservation. He has worked at museums around the state of Michigan and has proudly returned to his home town of Port Huron. When not talking history, Andrew enjoys working on classic cars and collecting antique firearms. He lives in an historic home with his wife Lauren and two beloved cats, Gilbert and Sullivan.

Tom BurseTom has been forecasting weather for four decades. He’s been the Chief Meteorologist for WGRT for more than half of that! Tom began his career in Lincoln NE while studying meteorology at the University of Nebraska and playing a little football for the Huskers. He’s been a TV meteorologist in markets from Miami to Cincinnati as well as CBS in Chicago while also providing forecasts for radio stations from coast to coast and the Caribbean.
