Affordable Housing Development

A new affordable housing project is coming to Port Huron after Governor Gretchen Whitmer announced nearly $19 million in federal tax credits to build low-cost housing across Michigan. More than $1.6 million will support the Robin Crest development in St. Clair County, creating 48 apartments for low- to moderate-income residents. Half of those units will offer extra support services for people in need. Developers say the project will bring dozens of temporary construction jobs and a couple of permanent positions, while helping keep rent more affordable.
