Shoppers beware! There has been a recall on a potentially harmful product that may have made its way to your home.
Lone Star Bakery, Inc. is recalling approximately 5,740 pounds of their beef Shepherd’s pie, for possible contamination of copper wire pieces. The announcement was made by the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) on October 27th.
The product in question is their 8-oz. carton packages of “Boomerang’s Beef Shepherd’s Pie” which were produced on April 1, 2022 with a use by date of September 23, 2023. The products will also have the establishment number “Est. 31772” inside of the USDA mark of inspection. Some products may have made their way to several Whole Food Markets in the Metro Detroit Area, so be wary when shopping.
