A 43-year-old Kimball Township man was arrested after allegedly fleeing the scene of a crash that injured a teenager in Port Huron late Thursday afternoon. Rescue crews had been called to 10th and Beard streets in Port Huron mid afternoon to a two-vehicle crash and a pedestrian injury. The 16-year-old pedestrian’s injuries were treated locally, before he was transferred to a Detroit area hospital. One vehicle had fled the scene prior to the arrival of police, and was reportedly tracked to Kimball Township. St. Clair County Sheriff’s Department stated police engaged in a short-lived pursuit with the 43-year-old driver, who lives in Kimball, before he was apprehended at a dead end on Louks Road. The driver is currently being lodged in the county jail.
