Governor Gretchen Whitmer has appointed Bad Axe attorney Julienne Ferris to the Huron County Probate Court, where she will also serve as the 73-B District Court judge. Ferris, a partner at Ferris, Schwedler & O’Mara, specializes in family and probate law and has served on the Huron County Bar Association and Thumb Area Transit board. She fills the seat left by Judge David Herrington, who retired in July after 18 years. Ferris’s term will run through January 1st of’ 27.
