Marlette Senior Transport Program

Port Huron Area Thanksgiving Meal Locations

This Thanksgiving, Port Huron residents looking for company and a meal can head to the Salvation Army or Blue Water Recovery and Outreach Center. The Salvation Army, located at 2000 Court St., is serving 400 meals from noon to 2 p.m. or until food runs out, with both dine-in and take-out options available. The meal includes turkey, mashed potatoes, stuffing, rolls, vegetables, cranberry sauce, and dessert. No registration is needed. Over at 617 10th St., Blue Water Recovery is offering a free meal along with a Detroit Lions-themed watch party, expecting around 75 guests.

Underage Alcohol Sales Check

Port Huron Police recently conducted an underage alcohol sales check at 22 local bars and restaurants. Of the 22, 17 businesses followed the rules, refusing to sell alcohol to decoys posing as minors. However, five establishments were cited for selling to minors: Zebra Bar, Vintage Tavern, Colony Bar, Sperry’s Moviehouse, and Tailgators. Police urged all local businesses to carefully check IDs to help prevent underage drinking.
