Organized Retail Fraud

Three suspects were arrested for organized retail fraud in Fort Gratiot Township on February 2nd. The suspects fled Dunham’s store in a gold ’07 Cadillac Escalade. After a police chase, they were detained at Love’s gas station. Inside the car, they found stolen merchandise, a cutting tool, and a magnetic device used to remove store tags. All suspects, with prior fraud records, face felony charges. Vince Price, Keisha Price, and Yolanda Price were charged and arraigned.

It’s Pothole Season

With Michigan’s fluctuating temperatures, pothole season is in full swing, causing significant car repair costs. AAA reports that 1 in 10 drivers hit potholes leading to repairs, averaging $600 dollars per incident. The Michigan Department of Transportation explains potholes form due to freeze-thaw cycles. Motorists are advised to report potholes to MDOT and maintain vehicle safety to avoid accidents. Potholes cost Americans nearly $3 billion annually.
