Officials marked the start of major interior upgrades at the Blue Water Bridge Plaza as crews broke ground on the second phase of the expansion. Work will rebuild the south side, shift toll operations, add a new U.S. Customs inspection building, and move the duty-free store at a cost of three hundred million dollars. Nearly all activity stays inside the annex, so drivers should notice little disruption except when the local access ramp relocates westward. Construction runs through twenty thirty-one.
