The Brown City Council took action last week, hiring Kyle R. Harris as interim city manager after Chuck Bennett resigned in August. Harris will earn $240 a day and get a few extra days off over the next few months. The council also confirmed hiring Sandusky-based Rising Tide Municipal Solutions to lead the search for a permanent city manager, paying the firm $9,200 for their services. The interim role will continue until a permanent manager is selected, with pay set by experience.
