The vehicle hit a construction barricade and a piece of heavy equipment before stopping on an embankment near the water. The driver claimed brake failure but showed clear signs of intoxication. Deputies, along with local police and fire crews, responded to the scene. This crash was one of three OWI-related incidents in the county that night, all resulting in arrests.
