Sperry’s Santa Claus Parade

The holiday season kicks off in Port Huron with the Sperry’s Santa Claus Parade on Friday, Nov. 29th at 6 PM. Santa will lead the event and officially light the Christmas Tree in Downtown. The celebration continues with cocoa, cookies, and Claus at Sperry’s Moviehouse, where tickets are just $5. Ice skating at McMorran Plaza adds to the fun, and the first 500 attendees can enjoy free s’mores starting at 5:15 PM. It’s an evening full of holiday cheer for the whole family!

Chick-fil-A Opens in Fort Gratiot

Chick-fil-A’s new location in Fort Gratiot on 24th Avenue quickly became a hit with locals, drawing dozens of customers for its opening on Thursday. The restaurant, which replaces a former Golden Corral, opened its doors to a crowd of eager customers, some even arriving for breakfast. Owner Ryan Weston said he was thrilled to see the strong turnout and looks forward to serving the community. It will provide around 120 jobs to the area.

Imlay Man Arrested for Accosting Child with Immoral Intent

Imlay City Police have arrested a 58-year-old local man, Zeb Eugene-Lee Breeding, for allegedly accosting a child with immoral intent. Breeding was apprehended on October 29th in the Kroger parking lot after police investigation, which also led to additional charges of sodomy and using the internet to commit a crime. If convicted on all charges, he could face up to 34 years in prison. After his arraignment, he was held in Lapeer County Jail on a $500,000 bond.
