Lake Huron Medical Center Recognized For 2023 Patient Safety Excellence Award

If you’re looking for some of the best medical care in St. Clair County, look no further than Lake Huron Medical Center (LHMC), recognized by Healthgrades as a winner of the 2023 Patient Safety Excellence Award.

Lake Huron Medical Center is a member of Prime Healthcare, and for the eighth year in a row Prime Healthcare has had more Patient Safety Excellence Award recipients than any other health system.

Lake Huron Medical is the only hospital in St. Clair County to achieve Healthgrades patient safety recognition.

If all hospitals as a group performed in a similar fashion to the 2023 Patient Safety Award recipients, there would be on average, 95,880 patient safety events that could have been avoided.

Brad Bowman, MD, Chief Medical Officer and head of Data Science, Healthgrades says, “We are proud to name LHMC as a 2023 Patient Safety Excellence Award recipient and look forward to their continued efforts to make patient safety a top priority.”
