Christmas Night Fire

A fire broke out on Christmas night at a Warren motel, caused by a faulty air conditioning unit. The blaze started on the second floor near the vending and ice machines. Fire Commissioner Skip McAdams reported that firefighters managed to extinguish the fire within 20 minutes using a dry chemical. Interestingly, the air conditioning was running to prevent the ice machines from overheating, even in winter. Damage to the hallway was mostly cosmetic, and no guests were evacuated or injured during the incident. Fire officials quickly controlled the situation, ensuring everyone’s safety.
