A fire broke out on Christmas night at a Warren motel, caused by a faulty air conditioning unit. The blaze started on the second floor near the vending and ice machines. Fire Commissioner Skip McAdams reported that firefighters managed to extinguish the fire within 20 minutes using a dry chemical. Interestingly, the air conditioning was running to prevent the ice machines from overheating, even in winter.
