In Clyde Township, a 48‑year‑old woman is facing serious animal‑cruelty charges after investigators say they found more than 200 animals on her McIntyre Road property — many already dead. County Animal Control says ducks, geese, chickens, and goats were starving, living without water or shelter, and even trapped in overheated bins. Officers also found piles of animal carcasses in wagons and barns. Connie Wonner was charged with multiple felonies and misdemeanors. She’s due back in St. Clair County court today, with bond set at five thousand dollars.
