St. Clair County Community College is searching for a new trustee after a longtime board member abruptly stepped down. Robert Tansky’s resignation was accepted Monday, ending a tenure that began in 1966, when he first taught business at the school then known as Port Huron Junior College. He joined the board in ’11. No reason was given for his departure. The college is now accepting applications through September 10th, with trustees reviewing candidates September 22nd. The open term runs through December of ’28.
