A crash along North Lakeshore Road in Forester Township last Thursday evening sent two people to the hospital after a failed passing attempt. Sanilac County Sheriff’s Deputies say a 70-year-old Eastpointe man driving a Dodge Ram tried to pass traffic around 6 p.m., striking a another Dodge Ram that was turning left into a private driveway while towing a camper. The turning driver, a 67-year-old Saint Clair Shores man, and his 63-year-old passenger were hospitalized, while the other driver was treated at the scene. Alcohol and drugs were not factors.
