Investigators are still working to piece together what led to a deadly crash that killed an East China Township bicyclist in Casco Township last Thursday afternoon. St. Clair County deputies say the 39-year-old man was riding east on Fred W. Moore Highway near Mayer Road around 4 p.m. when an SUV heading the same direction hit him. He died at the scene. The 26-year-old St. Clair man behind the wheel was not hurt and stayed to cooperate with investigators. Deputies say alcohol and drugs do not appear to be factors.
