A sentencing delay is pushing back the final chapter of a years-long child death case. Amanda Maison, convicted in her young son’s ’18 death, was set to be sentenced this week, but the hearing has now been moved to Sept. 11th so her attorney can finish paperwork for the court. Her co-defendant, Maurice Houle, admitted to killing the boy earlier this summer and remains set for sentencing Thursday. Investigators say the child died from injuries consistent with abuse. Both defendants could face life in prison.
