Soap, toothpaste and laundry detergent can strain household budgets in St. Clair County. In Port Huron, Blue Water Community Action’s Community Cares Cabinet helps families get those everyday essentials. The program needs donations of new, unopened hygiene and cleaning supplies, including shampoo, deodorant, toilet paper and menstrual products. Residents can drop off items at 3404 Lapeer Road in Port Huron, donate money through GiveButter, or order from the agency’s Amazon wish list to have supplies shipped directly to the office.
