Marty Doorn, founder and president of WGRT Radio, is stepping down from the East Shore Leadership Academy school board after more than a decade of service. Doorn helped launch the Port Huron-area charter school alongside several cofounders, helping shape its mission and growth from the ground up. In a statement, he says he’s grateful for the journey and proud to see the academy continue to serve local students and families. Doorn was also recognized by Northern Michigan University for his contributions.
