Adopt a Beach Cleanup

September 21 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm

Free

Join us for our inaugural Adopt-A-Beach cleanup on Saturday, September 21st at 10am-12pm! Meet us at Lakeside Park Beach in Port Huron to help spruce up the shoreline for next year’s fun. We will be picking up items washed ashore or left behind by beachgoers, recording the types and quantity of trash found. At the end, we will weigh all the trash and see how much we collectively cleaned up!

Adopt-A-Beach is an initiative through the Alliance of the Great Lakes to clean beaches and collect data on plastic pollution in order to help decision makers create effective policies. Learn more at https://greatlakes.org/. We will be submitting the data from our cleanup to help with this effort.

We will supply bags and gloves, but if you have anything else that you prefer to use, please bring it. Meet us at the picnic bench near the south side of the parking lot.
