Garden Tour

The Master Gardeners of St. Clair County will host a Garden Tour and Plant Sale on Saturday, June 29, 2024, from 10:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m., in Southeastern St. Clair County. This is our first tour since 2019 and we are excited to bring this popular educational event back to the community! This year’s tour will feature eight gardens. Each is unique and offers something for everyone. Tickets are $25 and can be purchased from local businesses as well as online. The 25th Annual Garden Tour is centered in East China, China, Casco and St. Clair Townships. The gardens are a mix of traditional, native, cottage, eclectic and country themes. Signs will be placed to help guide you. Leonard and Mary Hrecho, owners of Garden #3, said they “love to look out at our pond with the water fountain and all of the trees and animals on our 14 acres. We are most at peace in our gardens.”Jerry and Kathy Salisbury, owners of Garden #5, encourage other gardeners to take risks, saying, “We have learned that failure is an important stepping stone to success and are learning new methods to improve our garden every year.”
Lisa Sharrow, owner of Garden #1, said “I look forward to walking you through our gardens introducing you to a few favorites.” Find some of those favorites at the Master Gardener plant sale on the same day. The plant sale will be held at 5432 Vista Belle Court in East China, which is also a tour garden.
