Night Hike

September 20 @ 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Free

See Sanborn Park through a new light! As our eyes adjust to the setting of the sun, we’ll hike through the woods and discuss the different trees, shrubs, and wildlife that call Sanborn Woods home. We’ll introduce you to Grandfather Oak, one of the oldest trees found in Port Huron. Once the sun has set, we’ll use UV flashlights to look for glowing fungi and possible microfibers and debris that may be littering the forest floor.

This event is free and open to all abilities. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Bring your own water and insect repellents. Glow sticks and flashlights are a fun addition to the hike after the guided tour is over.

Registration is required for this event; limited spots available. Fore more information visit www.scriver.org, or www.porthuronrec.com, or email melissa@scriver.org.
