FedEx is shutting down its Port Huron Township Ship Center on September 28th. The company didn’t specify the reasons, but employees will be offered transfers to nearby locations. Residents in Port Huron and surrounding areas will now have their packages handled by FedEx’s Flint office, about 70 miles away. Despite the closure, shipping services remain available through FedEx drop boxes in the city, including one at Kerr Albert Office Supply on Military Street. A full list of local FedEx drop-off points can be found on the company’s website.
