St. Clair County authorities say a 39-year-old Emmett woman faces serious charges after investigators uncovered years of alleged abuse against two foster children in her care. Prosecutors accuse Sarah Elise Hager of torturing the kids—locking them in dog cages, beating them, and forcing cruel punishments. The case surfaced last July after interviews at a child advocacy center revealed the claims. Hager is held on $150,000 bond and faces multiple felony charges that could bring life in prison. A court hearing was set for Tuesday and a preliminary exam is set for March 17th.
