A Marysville High School graduate is $1,000 richer after becoming the first-ever recipient of a scholarship from the nonprofit A Beautiful Me. Reagan Fair earned the honor after once attending the group’s confidence-building workshops back in elementary school. Runner-up Jillian Biewer received a $100 award. Organization founder Karen Palka says the honor comes full circle, calling it proof that early investment in young women pays off. Fair is now continuing her studies at St. Clair County Community College and Oakland University.
