Chesterfield Township is set for a major automotive expansion, as South Korean supplier Hansae Mobility plans to invest more than $93 million and create 102 jobs in Macomb County. The company will build a 400,000-square-foot facility, retain 171 current jobs, and move some manufacturing from South Korea to Michigan. The plant will make driveline systems and other vehicle parts. The state is supporting the project with a $625,000 performance-based grant, while officials say the investment will strengthen Chesterfield Township’s economy.
