Health Advocates Challenge Bologna Festival

A national health group is once again challenging the Yale Bologna Festival, urging officials to shield kids from the town’s famous processed meat. The Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine sent a letter to Mayor Krzak warning that bologna and similar meats raise colorectal cancer risks, now the top cancer killer for people under fifty. As the 36th annual event kicks off this weekend, the group wants age limits, warning signs, and plant-based options to protect young attendees whose habits are forming.
