Healthcare is making a comeback in Algonac schools. Community First Health Centers will open a new school-based clinic March 17th inside Algonac Junior-Senior High on Taft Road in Clay Township. The center will serve kids and young adults ages 5 to 21, offering checkups, sports physicals, illness care, and mental health counseling. It fills the gap left after local clinics closed last year when county health services were consolidated in Port Huron. The clinic will be open Tuesday through Thursday, 7:30 to 4.
