In honor of National Rural Health Day, McKenzie Health System recently hosted healthcare career tours for over 200 high school students across Sanilac County. Students from Brown City, Carsonville-Port Sanilac, Croswell-Lexington, Marlette, Peck, and Sandusky schools got an inside look at various healthcare careers, including nursing, emergency services, and social work. The event highlighted the importance of rural hospitals, like McKenzie, which face unique challenges but remain essential to their communities. These tours aimed to inspire students to pursue healthcare careers in their own local areas.
