Lake Huron Medical Center (LHMC) is pleased to announce its August 2022
Employee of the Month, Kathy Fisher. LHMC is honored to have a strong team of staff and volunteers working hard to deliver high-quality care to the Blue Water Area.
Kathy works as a Nurse Navigator in the Radiation Oncology department and has been an employee at LHMC for 10 years. She was nominated by a co-worker who commented, “Kathy has gone above and beyond her role as Nurse Navigator this past month. A patient that has been receiving cancer treatment can no longer work. The patient is on the verge of getting evicted from their home and cannot afford basic needs such as food, utilities and now a roof over their head. Kathy has assisted the patient with information on food pantries, community giving days, bus schedules and rides to LHMC for treatments. This case is just one of many that Kathy handles, but has changed this individual’s life by going above and beyond in these very trying times”
