Lapeer Avenue Overhaul Now Underway

Construction is now underway on Lapeer Avenue in Port Huron between 16th and 24th streets. The $2.5 million project includes full road reconstruction, new sidewalks, curbs, and major water and sewer upgrades. Boddy Construction is leading the effort, funded by federal transportation dollars and local city funds. Lapeer is closed to thru traffic, but residents and businesses can still get through using marked “Local Traffic Only” routes. Work is expected to continue through the summer and wrap up by October 10th. City officials thank the community for their patience.
