On Wednesday, April 24th, Goodells County Park will be abuzz with excitement as Macomb/St. Clair Michigan Works! collaborates with Blue Water Building Trades to host the region’s largest construction career exploration event.
Over 1,000 high school students will flock to the park’s expansive grounds, where three exhibit barns and outdoor areas will showcase the tools, machinery, and hands-on activities of various skilled trades.
With construction trades in high demand and offering competitive wages, this event aims to raise awareness among students about the rewarding opportunities available. Participants will have 90 minutes to engage with exhibitors before enjoying complimentary boxed lunches. Graduating seniors from June 2024 are encouraged to bring resumes, as employers will be offering interviews for local employment and apprenticeship positions.
