In a vibrant celebration of the traditional Mexican holiday, Day of the Dead, Maggie’s Mexican Food hosted their soft opening at the Charles A. Hammond American Legion Post located at 1026 6th Street, Port Huron.
After having to shut down their business at the previous location without warning in October, owner Maggie Goudie celebrated her soft opening on a very special holiday in the Mexican community.
The event featured an a la carte menu, including savory Birria tacos (beef), Chicken Birria tacos, rice and beans, and convenient Flautas.To sweeten the festivities, attendees were treated to free cupcakes.
While the Day of the Dead event was a special treat, Maggie’s Mexican Food announced they would resume their regular schedule the following week, serving customers on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
