A Clinton Township man faces trial for the fatal shooting of his 21-year-old girlfriend following a heated domestic dispute earlier this year. Jeremiah Broady called 911 after shooting Mya Selina Hicks multiple times at a home on 15 Mile Road. A district judge ordered Broady to stand trial in Macomb County Circuit Court on 6 felony counts, including 2nd-degree murder and illegal firearm possession. Officials say domestic violence accounts for nearly 70 percent of local homicides. Broady faces potential life imprisonment when court proceedings begin in September in Mount Clemens.
