After a string of car break-ins in Marlette starting February 11th, the Marlette Police Department tracked down two suspects. On February 16th, the suspects were seen rifling through unlocked vehicles on Chard and Church Streets, stealing valuables. With help from local security cameras, the police spotted the pair again the following night near Rogers and Morris Streets. After fleeing on foot, officers traced their steps to a nearby house on Fenner Street, where a search led to recovered stolen items. Charges are expected to be filed soon.
