Early Tuesday morning, a milk tanker flipped on M-46 near Phillips Road in Kingston Township, spilling more than 12,000 gallons of milk into a nearby ditch. Firefighters from Kingston and Mayville worked together to free the driver, who suffered only minor injuries. Michalski Excavating brought in sand to stop the milk from spreading further, helping protect local waterways. Tuscola County officials called in the state environmental agency to handle the cleanup, while sheriff’s deputies and Michigan State Police are investigating the accident.
