Mother and 4-Year-Old Injured

A Monday evening broadside collision in Sanilac County sent a mother and her four-year-old child to the hospital after an out-of-state driver ran a stop sign. Emergency responders rushed to the intersection of Germania and Cass City Roads in Greenleaf Township, where a northbound pickup truck slammed into the passenger side of an eastbound SUV. Thanks to seatbelts and deployed airbags, all occupants survived, though the thirty-five-year-old Cass City woman and her young boy required transport for treatment. Police have ruled out alcohol as a factor as their investigation continues.
