Early Sunday morning in Marlette Township, a Prescott man suffered serious injuries after his motorcycle hit a deer on Decker Road near Miller Road. The 46-year-old rider lost control when the animal suddenly crossed his path, causing him to be thrown into a roadside ditch. Emergency crews quickly responded, transporting him first to Marlette Regional Hospital, then by air to Hurley Medical Center in Flint. Authorities say neither speed nor alcohol played a role, and the rider was wearing a helmet at the time. Local towing helped clear the scene.
