Motown Sports Village

A massive sports and entertainment complex is being planned just outside Detroit, with developers targeting Romulus near Metro Airport. The proposed Motown Sports Village would span more than 450 acres along I-94 and could cost around $3 billion. Plans include a large indoor arena, youth sports courts, hockey rinks, hotels, and even a water park and IMAX theater. Backers say the project could bring thousands of jobs to the area and tap into the fast-growing youth sports travel market across southeast Michigan.
