Operation Transformation and Blue Water Area Churches are holding their annual National Day of Prayer Service on May 5th. The service starts at noon in the north McMorran parking lot.
The National Day of Prayer was established through a joint resolution of the United States Congress and President Harry S. Truman in 1952 to encourage Americans to exercise their rights to freedom of speech and religious expression.
Operation Transformation and Blue Water Area Churches sponsor this local event annually to gather the community for corporate prayer. This year’s service will be a drive-in event with people parking in the north McMorran lot on Bard Street in Port Huron. Audio for the service will be available by tuning into 90.7 Hope FM.
The theme for this year’s National Day of Prayer service is Exalt the Lord.
