The Salvation Army’s new thrift store on 24th Avenue in Fort Gratiot had a successful grand opening on Friday. With hours from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Saturday, the store sells clothing, furniture, books, and more. They welcome donations of items in good condition. Proceeds support the Adult Rehabilitation Center in Flint. The opening day featured hourly raffles, with prizes like a Nintendo Switch Lite and a 4K TV. The store’s profits fund rehab services, continuing the Salvation Army’s 100-year tradition.
